Armed with our snazzy wedding outfits and a must-eat-here list from a native son of New Orleans, we are off early Thursday morning for a long weekend in New Orleans.
Expectations for this trip have to be set accordingly...
Butch has already been warned that the hotel will not be as nice as The Ritz in Paris. In fact, I had to prepare him for the sad fact that no hotel ever will be as nice as The Ritz in Paris.
And to my readers, expect this blog to be mostly just pictures of food and drinks. In addition to the actual wedding and assorted related events, we plan to just eat and drink our way across New Orleans.
It's not a new country but it is a new state. Neither Butch nor I have ever been to Louisiana.
